Day 1. Airport in Colombo - Sigiriya - Pidurangala Rock
We pick you up at the airport and bring you to the traditional area of Sigiriya. Here you can experience the true authentic Sri Lanka. You check in to a beautiful high end hotel and can now relax and arrive in this fantastic country. If you have the power, you can hike up to the Pidurangala Rock in the afternoon.
Day 2. Sigiriya Rock - Village Tour
You start this morning after breakfast and visit the famous Sigiriya Rock. A monolith on which are the ruins of a historic fortress known as the Lion's Rock. You can make a walk to the top if you feel like or just enjoy the sight of it. For lunch you visit a village in the area and experience really home made food the old traditional way. After this wonderful experience, you travel back to the hotel in Sigiriya.
Day 4. Dambulla Cave Temple - Botanical Garden, Kandy
This morning you can sleep out and have breakfast and then check out from the hotel in Sigiriya. You now travel from Sigiriya to Kandy and make a stop in Dambulla. You will walk up to the beautiful cave temples in Dambula. These are the largest cave temples in Sri Lanka with 157 Buddha statues and more than 2100 square meters of mural paintings in the caves. Since 1991 a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a sacred and popular temple.
Day 5. Golf at the Victoria Golf Club, Kandy
Today, golf is on the agenda. The Victoria Golf Resort offers an idyllic setting for avid golfers and amateurs alike. The Digana Golf Club is one of the world's finest golf courses and boasts a meticulously designed and well-maintained 18-hole championship course with a par of 73 and a length of 6,933 yards. Early morning play is recommended. After the first golf experience you can relax and enjoy the 19th hole.
Day 6. Kandy City - Shopping - Tooth Temple - Kandy Dancer
Morning time you can sleep out and enjoy your resort. In the afternoon you drive in to the city of Kandy. You can walk around in the town, enjoy some shopping and later in the afternoon see the famous tooth temple and in the evening visit a cultural show with Kandy dancers.
Day 7. Kandy - Tee Factory - Nuwara Eliya
This morning you can sleep out and have breakfast in your tempo. We will drive from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya.. Is is such a beautiful ride on the serpentine mountain roads. On the way you will have a stop in a tea factory. Welcome to "Little Britain". You can check into the hotel and enjoy the mountain feeling.
Day 8. Golf in Nuwara Eliya
Today, a tee time for the two of you early morning is planned. Founded in 1889, the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club is one of the oldest golf clubs in Asia, and probably the world. It is an institution rich in tradition, history, and an atmosphere unparalleled in this country. It was founded primarily for recreation by the British plantation owners who cultivated the tea lands in the Nuwara Eliya district, and to this day, it maintains some of the customs and traditions of the country's colonial past. This quaint blend of old-world charm and modern trappings gives it a special aura and is the core of its appeal. Located in Nuwara Eliya, it is renowned worldwide for the premium quality of the tea produced on the plantations surrounding the club. Although the club is just a stone's throw from the city, it still exudes exclusivity and desirable seclusion, so that upon entering its gates, you are transported to a world that history has left behind. In the afternoon, well rested after your round of golf, you can, if you wish, enjoy a high tea at the Grand Hotel Nuwara Eliya.
Day 9. Horton Plains
This morning, you'll visit Horton Plains National Park. You'll need to set off quite early for this. Horton Plains is a national park in the highlands of Sri Lanka. You'll walk past waterfalls and observe a variety of animals. The most famous feature in the park is World's End, a steep cliff approximately 1050 meters high. On a clear day, you can see all the way to the sea. After the hike, you'll return to the hotel and enjoy the afternoon there.
Day 10. Nuwara Eliya - Train to Ella
After breakfast, the route continues to Ella, but by train. It's an experience! Sometimes crowded and exciting. The magical journey between Nuwara Eliya and Ella by train is a must. It's one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world. Please have your camera ready for some wonderful pictures. Safe arrival in Ella, we'll pick you up again at the train station. Today you'll check into a very nice hotel in Ella.
Day 11. Relax in Ella
Enjoy a day in Ella in the cool mountains. You can walk around the town, book a yoga class, see the Nine Arch Bridge, book a massage or just enjoy the hotel. Today is for chilling.
Day 12. Ella - Yala - Coastal Area
This morning you'll visit Little Adam's Peak before having breakfast. If the weather is nice, it's definitely worth getting up early. The tour then continues towards Yala. This afternoon, you'll go on a safari in Yala National Park. Yala is the oldest nature reserve in Sri Lanka. There are around 30 mammal and over 130 bird species to observe. The most commonly seen are elephants, leopards, sloth bears, crocodiles, mongooses, monkeys, and, of course, the diverse birdlife. We have booked a double room for you at a beautiful hotel close to the golf course in Hambantota.s. You can now relax and reflect on your impressions in the national park.
Day 13. - 14. Golf Hambantota
These two days, it's time for golf again. Here you can enjoy the beautiful golf grounds by the sea. There are no other plans, but to play golf and enjoy the game.
Day 15. Coastal Area - Colombo Airport
This day we will drive you to the airport in Colombo. It is time to say goodbye from this marvelous island. We will have to leave the hotel five hours before departure. We say thanks and hope to see you soon again in Sri Lanka.
